General Municipality InformationIn most municipalities, a work permit must be filed with either the Building Department and/or the Fire Department prior to the commencement of any tank work. On the scheduled work date, soil samples and inspections may also be required. Upon final completion of the work, it is required that all permits are closed out in writing along with supporting documentation (i.e. all manifests and soil analytic results). Example: For the removal of a 550-Gallon UST in the Village of Tuckahoe.
